A Berkshire Dining Guide: Spring/Summer 2010
by Evie McConnell and Fran Varenne
The Central and South County areas of the Berkshires are blessed with a myriad of world-class cultural venues and outdoor activities: Tanglewood...Jacob's Pillow...Shakespeare & Company...The Norman Rockwell Museum...Stockbridge Bowl...Bartholemew's Cobble...Bash Bish Falls. This region of the Berkshires truly offers something for everyone. The area is also home to a large community of excellent restaurants. Since you're already here enjoying some of the outstanding activities the region has to offer—and you've probably worked up a huge appetite climbing Monument Mountain—we figured you'd want to know the vast culinary options awaiting you in this very special part of the Berkshires. So put on some comfortable clothes (maybe with an expanding waistline?) and follow that Berkshire road to its inevitable fork...and knife...and spoon!
Evie McConnell and Fran Varenne were Berkshire innkeepers who have been eating their way through the Berkshires for over ten years. They enjoy good food, good restaurants and especially...the Berkshire Hills.
