More Monday Morning Musings
by C.A. Kilgallon
These essays are a continuation of writings that began in 2005. Each piece was given to all staff members of School 18 in Troy, NY, by principal C.A. Kilgallon on Monday mornings.
The purpose of these essays was to encourage reflective thinking on the ideas presented. Kilgallon is a firm believer in the power of words to make a difference in the quality of our everyday lives. Regardless of formal training, we have a moral obligation to be lifelong learners and thinkers.
These pieces are one individual's attempt to meet that obligation through the vehicle of writing.
C.A. Kilgallon has spent the past thirty-two years in the field of elementary education. The last seventeen years she has been a principal with the Troy City School District.
She continues to have a passion for books and is a voracious reader. Books, as well as observations and critical thinking, become tools for understanding our place in the world.
A first book of essays, Monday Morning Musings, was published in 2007. Visit www.books-n-bears.com to find out more.
